Privacy Policy.
For RLSAND Inc. and the Meshmancer app.
RLSAND Inc. ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy describes the limited information we collect, how we use it, and how to contact us.
What we collect
Meshmancer app
The short version: nothing. Meshmancer has no account and no sign-in. It has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and there is no RLSAND Inc. server behind it. We never receive your descriptions, your pictures, your 3D models or your files.
Everything you make stays in your projects on your Mac, in the app's own storage, apart from copies you send to your print folder.
The app's own screens are a small web page that Meshmancer serves only on this Mac, at the local address 127.0.0.1. It can't be reached from outside your Mac.
Meshmancer goes online only in these three cases:
- Model downloads. When you start downloading Meshmancer's models, the app fetches them from Hugging Face; a download still running when you quit continues at the next launch. Hugging Face receives your IP address, the app's name and version, the names of the files requested, and standard request details such as your Mac's language setting, and handles them under its own privacy policy. No sign-in is needed.
- App Store purchases. At each launch Meshmancer checks your trial and unlock with Apple's App Store (StoreKit), and the 14-day trial, the unlock and Restore Purchases go through it. Apple handles them; RLSAND Inc. receives no payment details.
- Image Playground (optional, macOS 27). If you choose Apple's Image Playground to make a picture, it opens in Apple's own window. macOS sends your description, Meshmancer's short picture advice for the preset you chose unless you chose none (for “Figurine”, in short: one object, three-quarter view, plain light grey background, soft even light, on a small flat base, and characters in a relaxed T-pose), and anything you type in Apple's window to Apple's Private Cloud Compute to make the picture. Apple says this data is not stored or made accessible to Apple. The picture comes back into your project. Pictures made this way keep Apple's label that marks them as made by AI.
Send to Bambu Studio writes a copy of your model into a folder you chose and opens it in Bambu Studio on your Mac. Meshmancer uploads nothing.
What the app is allowed to do
- It runs in the macOS app sandbox.
- Outside its own storage, it can open only the files and folders you choose.
- It can make outgoing network connections, used only for the three cases above.
- It listens on 127.0.0.1, only for its own screens on this Mac.
Deleting your projects and models
Almost everything Meshmancer keeps is in its own storage on your Mac; the exceptions are copies you send to your print folder and the trial clock in your Keychain. To see the storage, choose Go → Go to Folder… in the Finder and enter ~/Library/Containers/com.rlsand.meshmancer.
- Projects. Delete in the project list moves the project to a trash folder in the app's storage. The app does not empty that folder, so a deleted project stays on your Mac until you delete that trash folder (
Data/Library/Application Support/Meshmancer/trashinside the folder above) or the whole folder above. - Downloaded models (about 34 GB). Settings → Models has Remove for each part and Remove All Downloaded Models, each after you confirm. If you chose your own models folder, the app only reads it and never changes it.
- Pictures not kept. A picture from Image Playground that could not be added to a project is kept in a “Pictures not kept” folder in the app's storage. The app offers Show in Finder and never deletes these pictures by itself; you can delete them.
- Settings. Your choices, such as the picture maker, the models source and the print folder's location, are kept in the app's preferences in its storage.
- Trial clock. The app keeps one item in your Mac's Keychain (not iCloud Keychain), labelled “Meshmancer trial clock”: the latest time the app has seen, so, while that item is there, setting the clock back cannot extend the trial. It holds no personal content. Keychain Access can delete it.
When you delete the app, macOS keeps its storage, so your projects, deleted projects and downloaded models stay until you delete ~/Library/Containers/com.rlsand.meshmancer. Removing the downloaded models first, in Settings → Models, frees that space sooner. Copies you sent to your print folder stay where you put them; the app never deletes them. Your purchase is held by Apple.
To erase everything: quit Meshmancer, delete ~/Library/Containers/com.rlsand.meshmancer, delete any copies in your print folder you no longer want, and, if you like, delete the “Meshmancer trial clock” item in Keychain Access.
Website & support
If you use the Meshmancer support form on this site, we receive what you enter: your name and email, the topic and your message, and, if you add them, your Mac model, macOS version and app version. We use this only to answer you, and may keep it in our support email archive.
Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) are kept for short periods to support security and debugging. When you send the support form, the log also records your name, email, Mac model, macOS and app versions and the topic, but not your message.
How we use it
- To answer your questions and support requests.
- To keep our website running and secure.
How we share it
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their own purposes. The only companies that ever handle it are the providers that operate this website on our behalf — our email-delivery service (which transmits your form message to us), the email provider that hosts our support inbox, and our hosting provider — strictly to run the service, and only the minimum required. We disclose information only if required by law.
Retention
Your projects and the downloaded models are never stored with us; see Deleting your projects and models. Support correspondence: kept while it's useful for ongoing support. Server logs: short-lived. You can ask us to delete your support correspondence at any time.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you. What you make in Meshmancer stays on your Mac, so you control it directly. For anything we hold (support correspondence), reach us through the Meshmancer support form and we'll respond.
Children
Meshmancer is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
We'll update this page when our practices change.
